What is it?
Penny Wars is a fundraiser where grade level teams compete for the most points. Students/families bring in silver coins and/or cash to place in their team jar for positive points and pennies to decrease the amount of points in other jars. We've also added a Star Wars spin because....it's Star Wars, do we really need a reason??
How it works!
Students are divided into grade-level teams and each assigned a collection jar.
PTO will supply a collection bag for each class and will come to each classroom daily with the grade level collection jars.
Silver coins are negative points. Pennies and Cash Bills are positive points.
Strategy tip: Place pennies & bills in your team's jar.
The money in each grade level jar will be counted daily, and the points tallied. Point standings will be announced to students by Principal Land after the count is in, and posted to the PTO Facebook page and Instagram.
The grade-level team with the most points at the end of the game WINS a visit from Kona Ice.
